Council Administration Levy
(for administration expenses of the Council – payable in terms of the Registration and Administration Expenses Agreement).

R1.62 per scheduled employee per week, or R7.02 per month.  Employer pays an equal amount – thus R3.24 per scheduled employee per week or R14.04 per month.

Note:  Subject to a minimum monthly total payment of R162.00.

Dispute Resolution Levy (for dispute resolution expenses – payable in terms of the Registration and Administration Expenses Agreement)

57 cents per week for all employees (including administrative staff) or R2.47 per month.  Employer pays an equal amount – thus R1.14 per employee per week or R4.94 per month.

Collective Bargaining Levy (fee payable to party employer organisations and party trade unions to cover cost of collective bargaining – payable in terms of the Collective Bargaining Levy Agreement)

R185.00 pm by employers who do not belong to a party employer organisation and 1% of wages by employees who are not members of party trade unions.

The amount payable by non-party employers has been increased to R185.00

per month as from 1 April 2008 per Government Notice R.370 in Government Gazette 30918 dated 4 April 2008.  Clause 5

4)

Voluntary Leave Enhancement Pay (monthly payment by employer to secure payment of leave bonus to employees – payable in terms of clause 14 of the Main Agreement, “Leave Enhancement Pay”)

1/12^th or 8.33 per cent of wages per employee.

5)

Technological Fund Agreement

Note: This Agreement is only applicable to employers which are members of the employer federation, the Steel and Engineering Industries Federation of SA (SEIFSA)

Payable by the employer at R1.21 per employee per month.

(as from 1 September 2009)

This Agreement is not published in the Government Gazette. It is a “party-party” Agreement. ie only applicable to the employer and trade union parties which entered into the Agreement.
