The scope of the MEIBC�s agreements has been amended to now include those firms which manufacture goods from tinplate not exceeding 0.416 mm thickness. Firms which fall under this category of activity are required to register with the Council and comply with all the agreements.

The amendments have been approved by the Department of Labour and have been published as follows:

• Published in Government Gazette 32806 under Government Notice R.1183 dated 18 December 2009 with effect from 28 December 2009.
